Current Research
My research deploys dedicated camera and software technology to investigate the interactions between the visual systems, the environment, and the colour patterns of Lake Tanganyika (LT) cichlids, thereby unravelling a deeper understanding of the selective mechanisms shaping the extant phenotypic diversity of the more than 240 LT cichlid species. This research is currently funded by the Swiss National Research Foundation and enabled by a global collaborative network.
